Other Bleeding Disorders
There are many types of rare bleeding disorders. The Jeanne M. Lusher Center for Hemostasis and Thrombosis is equipped for immediate lab testing at Children’s Hospital of Michigan Jeanne M. Lusher MD Special Coagulation Clinical and Research Laboratory. This ensures prompt diagnosis and treatment.
von Willebrand Disease
von Willebrand Disease is the most common inherited bleeding disorder. Symptoms can range from mild, such as bruising and nosebleeds, to more severe , such as joint bleeding and bleeding inside of the skull. Due to the range in severity of symptoms, diagnosis often does not occur before a more moderate to severe bleeding issue happens. It is important to report bleeding concerns to your doctor!
