Rachel Cain-Kellman is the clinical social worker for the Jeanne M. Lusher Center for Hemostasis and Thrombosis. She provides a wide range of support for the center’s patients and family members, including connecting them with resources, assisting to problem-solve challenging situations and providing guidance regarding self-advocacy. Rachel started her journey with the bleeding and clotting disorder community in August of 2021, following an internship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s heart transplant team. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in May of 2021 and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Albion College in 2016. She is passionate about empowering families in self-advocacy and education with the hopes of creating more strong leaders in the bleeding disorder community.
